Being a member at Social House naturally leads to collaborations, and they just keep on getting better! Hospitality is my jam and always has been – I’ve worked my way through the industry and it’s no secret that I love to travel, cook and dine out. When I first joined Social House, I spent a decent amount of time in the “back of the house” serving up aperitivo bites on First Friday or mixing cider sangria on a Sunday morning. Laura and I thoughtfully customized menus for each event, tackled the shopping lists and got down in the kitchen, one trial at at a time. We usually impressed ourselves with what we produced (and how we managed to get it done) but quickly realized the two of us couldn’t attempt to cater in-house while growing our own businesses. As much as I liked the planning process and appreciate the craft of entertaining, we both knew it wasn’t my true passion to share.
In walked Anna. Like an angel in disguise, she toured the space and enthusiastically agreed to split time with us. The next thing we knew, she was whipping up salty honey pies and the zestiest lemon bars – her sweet treats are guaranteed to rock your world – literally THE best chocolate chip cookies, ever. Well, it’s been a year and Anna’s LoveWell Baking Co. has evolved into so much more than providing small batch baked goods for our community. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing Anna from when she first took the leap into membership, to selling out her Balance & Brunch series. Whether we were styling dessert displays or shooting portraits with her pastries, we’ve always worked so well together.
But instead of prepping food in the back, (which we still do on occasion) here we are collaborating in our respective roles as chef and lifestyle photographer. Anna is now taking her catering skills to the next level by curating family-style dining experiences, al fresco. Her approach to these events is one of abundance, best of season, and always lovingly prepared. With Meghan’s eye for design and Britt’s floral touch, these ladies set the table in seriously good taste with the very best company.
Special thanks to Anna, Meghan and Britt for creating a beautiful evening and inviting me to photograph this little soirée to launch their version of a supper club, At The Table on Thursday, May 18 – 6:30pm – Tickets are $75, space is limited.
This is the Sunset Supper At the Table with LoveWell Kitchen.
