Natalia contacted me via e-mail about a product shoot, which evolved into a colorful lifestyle session with little models. We pinned ideas, wrangled a bunch of toddlers and successfully captured the nostalgic spirit of her new online brand, IKID IKID. She wanted a clean, white backdrop with pops of fun props so I booked a quiet afternoon at Social House as a comfortable space to set and style.
I also provided a wooden bar cart for the donut stand, painted a vintage gum ball machine and brought my canvas teepee. Between Natalia’s adorable products, playful accessories and our imaginations – we made some magic happen. It was part improvise and part staged, just allowing our creative juices to flow naturally (with a mix of coffee and patience while photographing the kiddos).
A few days later I shot some additional lifestyle images at my house while we had family visiting. IKID you not, my niece and nephew are the cutest. We had so much fun styling them and letting our dog Bruce photobomb us through the window. All of these photos were used for Natalia’s recent website launch; IKID IKID is a youthful concept for children, moms, pups and home, carefully curated for the inner kid in you. She has big plans for this wistful online store – I can’t wait to see where Natalia’s dreams take her next!
This project is a primo example of what Coco Prop Shop delivers. I’m able to bring my client’s ideas to fruition by styling and directing the scene – the photography just brings it all together. Producing this gallery was such a joy and I’m so thrilled to share these snaps.
All of the [ CARTOON ] heart eyes for my new friend, Natalia and the future of IKID IKID <3
(I later found out that the photo referral came from fellow a Social House member, Libby – thanks girl!)
