One of my favorite aspects of belonging to a creative co-working space is the ongoing in-house events. Social House is the host of interactive events throughout the year that are open to the public, providing an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and just get creative. Some of these pop-ups became so popular that they turned into a series, like Petals + Paint. My super sweet (and talented) friends, Jenny and Grace, have joined forces to teach floral design and watercolor painting. I’ve had the privilege of both attending and shooting all four Petals + Paints workshops, which is basically a glorified arts and crafts class – with champagne.
That being said, I’m always looking forward to the next installment on the Social House calendar. With enough space for 24 attendees, Petals + Paint has completely filled out every time tickets are sold. Jenny (of Port + Palm Co.) thoughtfully selects flowers to reflect the colors of the season. Each of my photo galleries displays a variety of hues and textures, which is so visually interesting to compare. Aside from all of the pretty flowers, impressive interpretations and tasty treats, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the guests and staying in touch over social media. As promised to this group of gals, here are the snaps from the most recent P+P featuring the subtle tones of summer.
